Football Program
The Dixon Junior Dukes Organization is pleased to offer a football program for 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th graders residing in Dixon, Illinois.

Program Highlights
1. We operate under a "No Cut/No Tryout" policy. This means that anyone who meets our eligibility requirements and registers with us will have the opprotunity to be a football player and the opprotunity to improve their skills and abilities through practice and competing in I-5 football conference games.

2. All football players will be outfitted with top of the line equipment and game uniforms, as seen or similar to the ones in the pictures on this page.

3. Dixon Junior Dukes coaching staffs will consist of qualified coaches who have been reviewed by the Board of Directors and have passed a mandated background check. Each coach is required to complete a training program that focuses on proper coaching techniques. We also mandate that at least two coaches per team be certified to administer C.P.R.

4. Football teams will be formed by grade levels (5th graders will play with 5th graders, 6th graders will play with 6th graders, etc.).

5. Our main focus is to instruct the player in basic football fundamentals and techniques (blocking, tackling, ball control, etc.). The level of instruction will be age appropriate. Every participant will be coached to strive for sucess on the field and in life.

6. The Dixon Junior Dukes organization is developing a working relationship with NIYTF and DHS football coaching staffs and players to assist in the streamlining of Dixon football.

7. All grade levels will practice at one location (The Meadows).

8. The Dixon Junior Dukes organization is a chartered member of the I-5 Football Conference.

Special Note
All participants are required to provide their own football cleats and practice jerseys (practice jerseys can be purchased through our "Pride Department").
