Cheerleading Program
The Dixon Junior Dukes Organization is pleased to offer a cheerleading program for 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th graders residing in Dixon.

Program Highlights
1. We operate under a "No Cut/No Tryout" policy. This means that anyone who meets our eligibility requirements and registers with us will have the opprotunity to be a cheerleader and the opprotunity to improve their skills and abilities through practice and performing at I-5 football conference games.

2. We will try to accomodate cheerleaders who are also participating in RMS volleyball so they can participate in both activities.

3. All cheerleaders will be outfitted with stylish "cheer uniforms" (shell tops & skirt bottoms) as seen in, or similar to the ones in the picture on this page.

4. Dixon Junior Dukes coaching staffs will consist of qualified coaches who have been
reviewed by the Board of Directors and have passed a mandated background check. We also mandate that at least one coach per squad be certified to administer C.P.R.

5. Cheerleading squads will be formed by grade levels (5th graders will cheer with 5th graders, 6th graders will cheer with 6th graders, etc.).

6. Cheerleaders will be taught and perform age appropriate chants, sideline cheers, stunts, and dance routines.

7. The Dixon Junior Dukes organization is developing a working relationship with DHS cheerleading coaching staffs and cheerleaders to assist in the techniques and fundamentals being taught within our program.

8. All grade levels will practice at one location (Volunteer Field).

Special Note
All participants are required to purchase bloomers, athletic shoes, and a cheer sweat shirt/jacket. Please consult your head coach for more details.
